camping (if you want to call it that) was fun. we got up north to find out the state forest is closed because of "bad water". we tried other campgrounds to hear that they were all full so we ended up staying both nights at a hotel. it was still fun though. i haven't been in the west branch area of michigan in a while. it's so nice up there. i got to swim in higgins lake today and that was super awesome.

i might have to take my truck in on my vacation next week. when i get up around 80 miles an hour, i can't use the passing gear. it tries to go, but it just shifts back and forth and almost stalls out my motor. i also got a crack in my windsheild this weekend. :(

i'm reading the new douglas coupland book called, "hey nostrodamus." it's pretty good so far. the best quote of the book is:
