an old friend of mine, tim, his dad got killed in a car accident two days ago. i have to leave for the funeral in about 5 minutes. it's going to be sad. i knew his dad and he was a good guy. i think i'll call my pops to check in on him. he isn't a spring chicken anymore. he turned 56 in october.

it's been a very bizarre weekend. i ran into my friend ricky's sister two nights ago. i have not seen her since ricky died. we talked a lot about her brother and how his dying has affected us. i went to see his mom yesterday. it was just really strange to be around them.

what a depressing weekend it's been so far. i do, however, get to go to jay croft's bachelor party tonight. i guess it's almost the same as a funeral. hehehehe.....
