i must say that california is beautiful. i swam in the pacific today. it was unreal. i can't belive that i'm here. the flight was pretty cool. i can't believe i waited this long to fly. the weather here is out of this world. everyone should visit once.

the nice thing about being here is staying with my cousin, shelly. we are really close in age and we grew up together, so we are really close. she had her first child in january and it's strange and exciting at the same time. her name is helena and she's beautiful. i get to take her to the famous san diego zoo tomorrow. i can't wait. we are going for california sushi tomorrow for dinner. it's been an excellent vacation so far.

wednesday, i get to leave for tempe, arizona to see jen sheppie. i can't wait to see her. i'm driving from here and it takes about 5 hours or so. i'll be back in cali on friday to catch the padres playing the yankees and then fly home the next day.
