i'm going to have a career

i just found out today that i start my apprenticeship tomorrow. no calls, no "hey, by the way's" to let me know what was going on, i had to go up to the office (6flights of stairs mind you) and see that i wasn't on the b.o.p. schedule for next week. my foreman and i figured out where i'll be which isn't too far from where i'm at now.

the whole idea of actually having a "career" is kind of scary. i no longer am just a "worker" or just go to a "job". i'll be something and that something is an electrician. it's a really big step and i'm as nervous as i am excited. a new chapter begins tomorrow and i can't wait.

many props to ryan lee. the art exhibit was as awesome as i thought it could be. i really admire his artwork. one day i'll have an exhibit of my friend rick's artwork. he was amazing with india ink and paper. i wish i had that kind of talent. i grew up around people who were just naturally talented like that. i can't even draw stick people right.

i'm getting a terrible draft in my house and i can't figure out for the life of me where it's coming from.

kelly and hilary are going to do my bathroom in march. i get so many props on the computer room that i asked them to give the bathroom a whirl. i'm excited to see what they can do with those hideous colors.
